How to read these Prime Day laptop discounts
Three quick filters before you click buy:
1. GPU generation. Every laptop on this list runs current-gen RTX 50-series Blackwell silicon. If you spot a deal that looks deeper than what we have here on a similar-tier laptop, check the GPU spec, RTX 40-series listings are clearance SKUs, not the same value.
2. Refresh rate against resolution. 240Hz WQXGA is the sweet spot at $1,500 and up, you get high frame rates with the sharper resolution. Below $1,200, expect 165 to 180Hz at WUXGA. OLED only appears on the Legion 5a in this list, and that is the only laptop here that beats IPS on contrast.
3. RAM and SSD as price floors. 32GB stock RAM was rare two years ago, half of this list ships with it. If a competing laptop at the same price still shows 16GB and 512GB storage, walk past it.
